JOIN THE ASSOCIATION

Membership is open to practitioners and professionals in the insolvency, business rescue and restructuring industry who subscribe to the Association's constitution and code of conduct.

Categories

Fees shown are indicative annual subscriptions, to be confirmed by the National Executive. A once-off application fee of R500 accompanies every application, invoiced on receipt.

Professional Member
R2 500 / year
Professionals actively involved or qualified in restructuring and insolvency: attorneys and advocates, chartered accountants and auditors, business rescue practitioners, corporate restructuring professionals, and financial advisors and investment specialists. Requires a relevant professional qualification, a minimum of two years' professional experience and a commitment to ethical professional standards.

Professionals in related fields who wish to participate in the profession — finance professionals, legal advisors, corporate consultants and insolvency administrators.

Requirements

A relevant qualification — for business rescue licensing, the CIPC requires at minimum an NQF level 7 degree in law, accounting or business management.

Good standing with your primary professional body (LPC, SAICA, SAIPA or equivalent), where applicable.

No disqualifications: no unrehabilitated insolvency, no convictions involving dishonesty, no removal from an office of trust.

Written commitment to the ABRIPSA constitution and code of professional conduct.

Attach supporting documents: a certified copy of your ID or passport, your CV, certified copies of qualifications and proof of professional membership where applicable.

Vetting by the Membership Committee, with an outcome within 14 to 21 business days.

Admission on payment of the application fee and annual subscription; your certificate of membership and membership number follow.
